    In accordance with the Visa Code, every visa applicant reserves the right to submit his or her visa application directly at the Belgian Embassy or Consulate competent for his/her place of residence. In order to do so, the applicant is required to schedule an appointment by email with the mission concerned.

    Compulsory registration of Biometric Data for National Visa D From 01 December 2018 onwards, applicants for a national long stay visa D for Belgium will have to appear in person in order to register a live digital ID picture and scans of all fingerprints.     New process for legalization of documents from 01 November 2018

    Since 15 May 2017 applicants applying for a national (long stay) Belgium visa could present their documents to be legalized by the Embassy at the same time as their long stay visa application.

    From 01 November 2018 onwards, all documents as part of a visa file for long stay have to be legalized first. Applicants will need to submit their documents for legalization at a Visa Application Centre and once the documents have been legalized and sent back to the VAC, the applicant will be able to submit a complete visa file for long stay with all the supporting documents.     The visa application centre in Islamabad will be closed on 12 and 13 July 2018

    The Islamabad visa application centre, currently located at 14-B Sadiq Plaza, G9 Markaz, will be closed on 12 and 13 July 2018. The Islamabad visa application centre will re-open on Monday 16 July 2018 in a new location in Islamabad. Please visit our Contact Us page for the location of the new centre.

    Important information for Lahore applicants

    All persons applying for a Belgium visa in Lahore should note that due to adverse weather conditions there will be an additional delay of one day in the transportation of application files to the Embassy of Belgium in Islamabad. This delay also applies to applications that have been processed by the Embassy and returned to Gerry’s. This delay will continue throughout the winter season and normal service will resume as soon as possible.

    New process for Belgium visa and legalization applicants in Pakistan

    We are proud to announce the start of VFS Global visa application centres in Pakistan for the Embassy of Belgium in Islamabad. This website provides information on the application process that will be in effect from 13th December 2016.

    Applicants should note that an online application should be completed at before visiting the application centre, and that for convenience an appointment should be booked.
